Amazon Fire TV: Videos Not Playing or Being Asked to Subscribe Again
If you're being asked to pay again on your Amazon Fire TV, or videos aren't working despite having an active Durioo+ subscription — this article explains why, and how to fix it. You should not need to pay twice.
❓ Why is Fire TV asking me to subscribe again?
Your Durioo+ subscription is tied to the platform you used to subscribe — not the device you're watching on:
Subscribed via Durioo+ website → managed by Durioo+/Stripe
Subscribed via Google Play (Android phone) → managed by Google
Subscribed via Apple App Store (iPhone/iPad) → managed by Apple
Subscribed via Amazon Appstore (Fire TV) → managed by Amazon
If you subscribed via Google or Apple and are now watching on Fire TV, the Fire TV app may not automatically recognise your subscription — it's a different platform. You have two options:
Log in with your existing account email — this links your Durioo+ account across all devices, regardless of platform ✅ (recommended)
Subscribe separately through Amazon if you prefer managing everything via your Amazon account
💡 One Durioo+ subscription covers up to 4 devices at the same time — you don't need separate subscriptions per device, as long as you log in with the same email.
🔧 Fix 1 — Log out and log back in with the correct email
Resolves the issue in most cases.
Open Durioo+ on your Fire TV
On the subscription prompt, look for "Log In" or "Already a member?"
Log in with the exact email you used when you originally subscribed
VIP access should activate immediately
⚠️ Subscribed via Google Play? Use your Google account email. Via Apple? Your Apple ID email. Via website? The email registered at checkout.
🔧 Fix 2 — Clear app data and re-login
Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → Durioo+
Force Stop, then Clear Data
⚠️ This logs you out — have your registered email readyRelaunch and log back in → check if VIP is active
🔧 Fix 3 — Uninstall and reinstall
Same menu → Uninstall
Home screen → Find (search) → "Durioo+" → download again
Log in with your registered email
🔧 Fix 4 — Update Fire TV software
Settings → My Fire TV → About
Check for Updates / Install Update
Restart your Fire TV after updating
👧 Durioo+ not appearing on my child's Fire TV profile?
This is a known Fire TV platform limitation — Durioo+ currently works only on the main (adult) profile, not Amazon child profiles.
Workaround: use Durioo+'s built-in parental controls from the main profile — you get the same protection:
Set a screen time limit (Profile → Screen Time)
Set an age filter (Profile → Parental Controls → Age Filter)
Set a Parental PIN to lock settings from children

Yes. Prices may vary slightly between the Durioo+ website, Google Play, Apple, and Amazon — each platform sets its own pricing and currency conversion. Content and features are identical everywhere.
