Subtitles Not Working or Missing

Durioo+ supports subtitles in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Arabic, and Indonesian on selected content. If subtitles aren't showing or aren't working correctly, here's how to fix it.

How to turn on subtitles

  1. Start playing a video

  2. Tap the screen to show the player controls

  3. Tap the Subtitles (CC) or Settings (gear) icon

  4. Select your preferred subtitle language

πŸ’‘ Subtitle availability varies by content β€” not all shows are subtitled in all languages. If the option doesn't appear, the content may not have subtitles in your selected language.

Subtitles are on but not showing

Try these steps:

  1. Pause the video and tap subtitles off, then back on

  2. Force close the app and reopen

  3. Clear the app cache: Settings β†’ Apps β†’ Durioo+ β†’ Clear Cache

  4. Check your subtitle language setting β€” if the language is set to one not available for that show, it will appear blank

  5. Uninstall and reinstall the app

Subtitles are in the wrong language

  1. While the video is playing, tap the screen β†’ CC / Subtitle icon

  2. Select your preferred language from the list

  3. To set a default: Profile β†’ Settings β†’ Language Preference β†’ Subtitle Language

Subtitles are out of sync
If subtitles appear too early or too late:

  1. Pause and resume the video

  2. Force close and reopen the app

  3. If the issue continues on one specific show, it may be a content encoding issue β€” contact us with the show name.

Subtitles are available but I want them off

  1. While video is playing, tap screen β†’ CC icon β†’ Off
