How to Cast Durioo+ from Your Phone to a TV

If you do not have a smart TV with the Durioo+ app installed, you can still watch on a big screen by casting from your phone or tablet.

Cast using Chromecast (Android or iPhone)

You will need a Chromecast device plugged into your TV's HDMI port, and your phone and the Chromecast must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

  1. Open the Durioo+ app on your phone.

  2. Start playing a video.

  3. Tap the Cast icon in the video player (it looks like a screen with a Wi-Fi symbol in the corner).

  4. Select your Chromecast from the list of available devices.

  5. The video moves to your TV. You can control playback from your phone.

To stop casting, tap the Cast icon again and tap Disconnect.

Cast using AirPlay (iPhone or iPad to Apple TV)

Your iPhone/iPad and Apple TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

  1. Start playing a video in the Durioo+ app.

  2. Tap the AirPlay icon in the video player.

  3. Select your Apple TV from the list.

  4. The video appears on your TV. Control playback from your phone.

Cast using a screen mirroring cable (any phone)

If you do not have Chromecast or Apple TV, you can use a cable:

  • Android: A USB-C to HDMI adapter connects your phone directly to your TV.

  • iPhone: A Lightning to HDMI adapter does the same.

Plug the cable in and your TV should show your phone's screen automatically. Then open Durioo+ on your phone as normal.

Casting not working?

  • Make sure your phone and the Chromecast or Apple TV are on the same Wi-Fi network (not one on 5GHz and one on 2.4GHz).

  • Restart the Durioo+ app and try casting again.

  • Restart your Chromecast by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
