Understanding "Vocal Only" Mode
At Durioo+, we understand that every family has different preferences when it comes to media consumption. One of our most unique features is Vocal Only Mode, designed specifically for families who choose to avoid musical instruments in their children's entertainment.
What is Vocal Only Mode?
When Vocal Only Mode is turned ON, the Durioo+ app automatically filters your library. It will only show videos that:
Use human voices and harmonies for songs.
Use natural sound effects (like birds chirping or wind).
Contain no musical instruments (like pianos, drums, or guitars).
This ensures that your child can still enjoy stories, learn Islamic values, and sing along to catchy tunes, all within an audio environment that aligns with your family’s choices.
Why do we have this feature?
Durioo+ was built to be a safe haven for the Ummah. We created this feature for two main reasons:
Respecting Values: We recognize that many Muslim families follow the scholarly opinion that avoids musical instruments. We want every child to feel included and every parent to feel at peace while their kids are on the app.
Calmer Viewing Experience: Many parents find that "Vocal Only" content provides a more soothing, low-stimulation environment for their children, which can lead to calmer behavior after screen time.
You can turn this feature on or off at any time. Remember, turning it ON will hide any videos that include musical instruments.
Open the Durioo+ App.
Go to 'Settings and Parental Controls'.
Enter your Parental PIN.
Find the 'Vocal Only (No Music)' feature and tap on it.
Tap 'Vocal Only' : Only vocal-only content will be shown.
Tap 'Vocal + Music' : All content, including those with musical instruments, will be visible.
Tip: If you are searching for a specific show (like Little Ammar) and it's not appearing, check your Vocal Only settings! You might have the filter on, which is hiding the musical version of that show.
